They say that some moments can go on forever. Even after the moment has passed, even after its evanescent existence has come to an end, its ripples can be felt till the end of time. These moments leave a mark on us, one that is so profound that it comes to define not just who we are, but also our dreams and aspirations. These are the moments when we feel utterly and truly alive. I can personally attest to having created several such memories in UNWIND, and hope to see others experiencing similar feelings and moments.

India’s largest student-run fest, UNWIND stands high and mighty, bearing the crown of ultimate art, culture, and celebration. It serves as a launchpad for fresh talents, a conduit to display a vast array of competitions, a host for the most renowned artists and an abode to dance and music. UNWIND is a carnival where every square inch reflects colorful art, every wave echoes festivity, and every minute spent will last for a lifetime.

UNWIND was the brainchild of our dearest Founder-Chairman, Mr. Bijaya Kumar Sahoo. He wanted to inculcate in his saioneers 21^st century leadership skills, and to learn how to collaborate and communicate effectively in a team. Through this unique and unparalleled event, he wanted to instill in his students the spirit of teamwork, leadership, along with fostering compassion and humility. He envisioned phenomenon that would not only allow for his students to become expert communicators, and efficient organizers, but also the leaders of the new age.

What began in the year 2008 with just oodles of ideas, a bunch of enthusiastic students and a diligent team, was met with overwhelming love and appreciation. It now has a gloriously established legacy of its own. Entertaining a footfall of around thirty thousand people, the event has in its previous editions housed more than a hundred food and game stalls which had a wide array of scrumptious national and international cuisines, and games that ensure that the fun never ends.

With the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, our lives experienced a disruption like never before. As entire continents went into lockdown and civic and commercial activities were effectively suspended, its impact was felt across all strata of our society. Team Unwind 2022 understands that after such a harsh experience, we all are in desperate need of respite.

We strive to provide each visitor with just that. A day to let go of all your worries and burdens and experience the magic. Unwind is not just an event, it is an expression of our creativity and aspirations.
